Sakura Exchange 2023 Letter
Apr. 9th, 2023 04:01 pmHi!
Thank you in advance for creating something for me! The thing I love the most about fandom is seeing everyone's different takes on the same canon/premise/characters/ship, etc, you get me, and I'm so excited to see yours! I have some feelings/prompts under each fandom I'm requesting, but no need to go with any of them if it doesn't float your boat. I'm usually not very picky save for my DNWs :) Please feel free to browse any of the below links if they inspire you!
My masterlist of likes (since they got a bit too long for the AO3 sign-up box oops)
My exchange letters | Sorted by fandom tag
My AO3
DNWs (Do Not Wants):
- Graphic violence/gore/vore
- Crack
- A focus on pregnancy/children/original characters (minor mentions are fine, e.g. canonical children/original villain)
- A focus on any unrequested gender identity headcanons
- Permanent character death of a requested/major character (canonical death and/or temporary death are ok!)
- Genderbending/Rule 63
- First or second person POV narration (in letters/epistolary are ok!)

Contents by Fandom:
- Things I am okay with that might normally be DNWs: explicit underage sex (age 12+), dub-con/non-con, AUs, unhappy/open endings, longfics
- Treats are very much adored and I'm also happy to receive treats for any of my fandoms at any time into the future. I don't think I ever truly get over things I was into - 'tis the joy of fandom, right?)

Angel Devil/Hayakawa Aki
- god, I love how utterly tragic their relationship is. yes, lean into that, wherever their paths may lead, it is not likely to be a happy one. You can take that road down many forks - lack of touch, time, freedom, family, friends - they're both so trapped in similar and different ways and yet can find solace and a bit of hope in each other. I really love that in those moments where you forget how different they are, that they can maybe find a bit of joy in each other.
- But of course, you also have my full permission to break my heart here. I will waive my major character death DNW for a reason - the way that Aki has so little time versus how time is used as a weapon by Angel is so poetic and sad. The fact that any touch, accidental or purpose, can and will kill Aki. Whatever decisions that may lead them down that path where Angel kills Aki by knowing/being with him would be great to see.
- Touch-starvation is also SO the name of the game here. Any creative ways for them to touch without activating Angel's power would be very welcome, as well as if you decided to go smutty here - how would they get around the skin to skin contact? Is it awkward, or sexy, or desperate, or everything? I think Angel's demeanour being cracked here by Aki's authenticity would be just spectacular.
- Any canon divergence where things past chapter [x] go differently for them. Happier or sadder, it's up to you. Even better if you weave the reason why the Future Devil was so eager to see Aki's death into this.
- I'm kind of into this ship because it's a little to a lot messed up, depending on how you look at it. I don't see them as a soft ship by any means, but I do like the potential for how differently they can behave as a result of the other person's presence and power over them. She's definitely manipulating him for ulterior motives, and he doesn't seem to mind half the time either - that's a really delicious dynamic (even disregarding canon/spoilers)!
- I'd love to see a Makima POV exploration of how she perceives Denji throughout the course of their relationship and how exactly she gets him to fall in love with her (and more, if you choose to dig into her psyche). How does she really see him? On the other side - if you show Denji's POV as well and just how DIFFERENT they are, that'd be really fascinating!
- All the bits of sexual tension and longing from Denji's side was just *chef's kiss* in the canon. Given his sexual inexperience and excitement for Makima, how exactly would he react if he got the chance to be with her? How weird would their date be? Would he even know what to do or what to plan? Would she even let him? If they get more physical, how far would they get and would that all be a part of Makima's plan? Is it a terrible experience or a great one? Where do they go from there on out?
- Makima said Denji can ask anything of her if he kills the Gun Devil. What does he ask? How does she fulfill her end of the bargain?
- He's also pretty damn whipped for her already, so maybe one day Makima just pushes her luck to see what she can get out of him, and makes Denji bend to her whims.
Hunter X Hunter
I watched only the 2011 anime so that's my preferred canon but feel free to take from 1999 or the manga, I don't mind spoilers!
- Ok I absolutely adore this pairing. It is so clear how much they mean and care for each other in canon, and in how the fandom (including myself) is obsessed with bringing them back together post separation.
- I would love your take on their reunion. When does it happen, how, who initiates? How have they grown better or worse apart? Do they travel again? Do they have a heart to heart where they admit their shortcomings? There is often a focus on Gon's apology to Killua after the CA arc, but maybe Killua apologizes too for not saying anything sooner. Maybe they realize they were too young for what they got caught up in, and needed to take that step back to find their youth again. Maybe they find that again in each other.
- Romantically, I really like the concept of their different love languages. We get a lot of Killua POV in canon, but he doesn't voice most of it, contrary to Gon. How do they make their relationship work given this? Is there insecurity? Shyness? Grand gestures gone right or wrong? Who initiates and when?
- I'm a big fan of their roles being dynamic and fluid, with the both of them loving and knowing each other well enough to know when to take a step forward or back - but it might take them a while to discover this (which would be super fun to read about). Reading about them being domestic would be also *chef's kiss* because they deserve happiness.
- Along that vein, I think their first times would be interesting - they love each other a lot and how does that manifest in their physical affection for one another? My mind goes to praise kink and switching pretty much right away, but happy to read anything that you think could fit their characters well in that development! I'm fine with keeping them 14 or older (aka post canon, aged up if you'd like but not needed) if you go this route!
- The codependency between them is also so, so, delicious. As sweet as I love them, I can imagine this getting a little dark/toxic as well, especially given their history and falling back into old habits, putting each other on a pedestal or unable to communicate things the way they'd like. Feel free to explore residual guilt, self-loathing, wanting to please the other no matter what, etc.
Daiya no A
I have watched all 3 seasons of the anime and read both Act I and Act II of the manga (and whatever else may come, even though it's over ;-;)
Miyuki Kazuya/Narumiya Mei
- So, I never really thought this would be a rare pair given ALL THAT THEY HAVE GOING ON, but they are, so I am obligated now to request them forevermore.
- Ahem, childhood not quite friends, Miyuki basically being the one that 'got away' to Mei when he turns his invitation to Inashiro down in order to BEAT HIM, them being rivalries and more or less each other's final boss, Mei being the only one who calls Miyuki KAZUYA (I'm...so weak for the first name thing, oh my god you can see why I fell for this). Please, this is A+ chemistry and dynamic and I need more of them!
- The backstory behind the first name basis! More backstory in general apart from what we've shown! How close exactly are they? Who contacts whom and about what? How does Miyuki feel about Mei calling him Kazuya when literally NO ONE ELSE DOES?
- One part of what really enamours me about them is how they're both assholes and they know it and they know it in each other too. Growing up together obviously, they've been rather close (points to the first name basis and sobs) and get each other, respect each other's skills, and are a natural fit as catcher and pitcher. Lay into all that battery metaphor! I love how they both are so confident and good enough to stand by their bigshot words, especially Mei, and how they spur each other on and screw each other over (feel free to uh, not take that metaphorically lol)
- I loved when they formed a battery in All Japan. I'd love to see more during that, before or after. There's just so much there...Miyuki gives up Mei's fake tell to him, Mei pitching to prove something to Miyuki on the mound, and whether that encounter leads to anything more. Feelings, talk about the future, etc!
- Feel free to decide who wins their second battle against each other and how that ending, their graduation, perhaps going pro, frames their relationship!
- How do they get together - if they do?! I really like the range of MiyuMei, because it could have realistically happened at any time. Like being on and off since they were kids and pretending it isn't a big deal, screwing around as friends with benefits and then catching feelings, letting their stupidly high sexual tension melt away in a post game angry makeout session against the wall somewhere, playing on the same pro team and realizing what they've wanted all along, playing on different pro teams and sleeping with the enemy, etc etc.
- Also given how they are with each other, being kind of alike and competitive but also not willing to settle, they could totally just...fizzle out or ruin each other after dating. Like, they could totally break up after blowing up at each other and then realize they're the only person who can handle the other's bullshit because it comes natural for them now.
- Overall though, they don't need to be conventional, given how long they've circled and chased each other all this time, so there's a lot there. I think I just genuinely enjoy them clashing physically, sexually, emotionally, and then deciding yeah, he's the bastard I wanna be with.
- I am also very much craving a Royalty AU with these two with Mei as the actual prince and seeing how Miyuki defies convention in every way the way he totally would as whatever role you deem fit! Actually, given how small the fandom is for these two, any AU will do. *on my knees*
Bungou Stray Dogs
I've watched all 4 seasons of the anime + the movie, will be up to date with season 5 as it airs, and will continue to be caught up on the manga (currently 106). I'm familiar with certain light novels/spin-offs (Stormbringer and BEAST mainly), but don't mind spoilers!
Dazai Osamu/Nakahara Chuuya (Bungou Stray Dogs)
- God I've been way too obsessed with them for too long to not have a letter dedicated to them yet, but I will try my best to be sensical here.
- I just love every flavour of this ship. They are capable of so much depending on which time you want to throw them in - AUs aside, but even canonical universes and time periods gives you so much to work with.
- Classic enemies to lovers is good, but it's even more fun given you can choose that to be when they hated each other from meeting at 15 to having to work together somehow in the Port Mafia (fill in the blanks, I personally like the 'you can't tell me they didn't fuck in the mafia' ao3 tag), acting as if they hated each other still despite being a FLAWLESS partnership, to actually technically being enemies after Dazai defected but somehow still managing a working relationship because of a temporary truce or because of corruption or just personal affection that they REFUSE to admit is actual affection!
- I love that codependency - corruption whump and hurt/comfort is ALWAYS good, as is the 'I trust you with my life asshole' variety. The extra layer of touch-starved and touch being something very special to them with or without the implications of their abilities is oh so good too! Especially Chuuya's gloves...god save me, they're so sexy. I always envision them having had a history before Dazai's defection in an intimate way, such that they've done a lot since then to basically try to forget each other, but it is really easy to fall back together and realize they fit together - not just their abilities - and some things never change
- any scenario where they have to put themselves on the line for the other or finally face their feelings for each other in true fandom dramaticism would be perfect. rescue mission! truth serum (or any other convenient) ability dumped on them! your choice!
- also any kind of bickering and soukoku-only rituals/language/history that baffles everyone else makes me so gleeful! could be casual games night, could be them spouting secret code at each other in a big battle! on that note, any realizations from the rest of the ensemble to realize that they are/were together would be amazing.
- I also think a possessive and dark flavour for these two suits them so well, especially in BEAST verse! That undying loyalty from Chuuya and Dazai commanding his attention and power and adding a sexual component to that would make my day.
Blue Lock
I've finished the anime, will be up to date with the manga (currently ch213) as well as the Nagi & Reo spinoff manga (ch8).
I've finished the anime, will be up to date with the manga (currently ch213) as well as the Nagi & Reo spinoff manga (ch8).
Mikage Reo/Nagi Seishirou
- Their relationship is so rich and weird and intriguing, with a push and pull and so many gay undertones it drives me crazy. Like, do they even hear themselves? I love the way they met and their whole 'on again off again' vibe and how they're a package deal in so many ways. Feel free to deal with them at any stage in their lives - from meeting to being together to separating to finding each other again to whatever you'd like!
- The concept of 'ego' and 'devouring' and 'sparking chemical reactions' is so funny in the context of soccer, but ALSO so applicable during their life too, such as the angst phase in their relationship where Reo is left behind, and/or how they make up! Enter some heart to heart or not b/c dumb teenage boys trying to speak through sports metaphors and shit! Insane sexual tension and chemistry! Proving a point to each other and then realizing 'oh' in so many ways! Maybe they never actually reconcile and grow more toxic in the aftermath, with or without reconciliation/hate sex!
- CLASS DIFFERENCE ANGST AND HOW THEY APPROACH THAT. Reo has everything he could want except??? Nagi doesn't care at first but then realizes he has to put in some effort this time??? The whole 'Nagi is my treasure' thing is so sweet but also so possessive, and I'd love to see that in either a fluffy or dark flavour :) Plus, Reo is basically Nagi's sugar daddy lmao - how does he pay that back?
- if you have read chapter 207...I just really want to see more of that dynamic between them and where that might lead or mean in terms of their future. their character development and growth is just so tremendous, I just wish that scene/conversation was longer!
- Any spin on a royalty AU here would slay me <3

Cardcaptor Sakura
I've watched all the anime seasons including Clear Card as well as the manga (also up to date with Clear Card English translations, Chapter 70 right now). Feel free to incorporate both/either!
Kinomoto Sakura/Li Syaoran
- I am in a nostalgic mood and so I want to request my oldest and one of my dearest OTPs!
- I love them so much. They are so sweet and perfect for each other. I love them together in every manner imaginable. I love how their relationship started, how pure Sakura was and how Syaoran gradually falls for her despite viewing her as the enemy. It's hilarious if you think about them as an enemies to lovers ship which...is kind of true, but Sakura's just so winning and cute and charming, can you blame him? I love how they protect each other and work hard together to accomplish their goals as time goes on - feel free to incorporate more guilt/secrets/misunderstandings from Clear Card here if you'd like to dig into that complexity a little more as they grow older!
- If you'd like to explore their potential together from the Li family's perspective, that'd be really neat to see, given the whole magic clan standards thing. Obviously there was some initial antagonism from Sakura taking the cards away from being in the Li family's possession instead, and also Meiling in play. I'd love your take on how that all got resolved on the back end or didn't, and how they win over the Li family (or not!) together
- The devotion! The sacrifices! The learning what love is together as their first and only love!!! Melt my heart. Anything goes! First dates, first kisses (cuz you know, CLAMP doesn't really do that), cooking for each other, domestic stuff as they get older, going on a trip that doesn't evolve around the cards, Syaoran asking Touya for permission to date/marry her formally, proposals, etc!!! Give me all the fluff in the world for them <3
- That lovely long distance pining would also be so great to see, during their separation as they wait for each other from afar. What do they talk/message about? How do they keep the spark alive? What do they do when they reunite to celebrate?
- I'd also be down to see some more hurt/comfort with them in any scenario of your choosing! Maybe a card capture goes wrong, or they're in a dangerous situation, or a personal issue arises where they have to work it out and trust and confide in each other.
- Anything re: them with the cards in general, whether it's the cards meddling in their relationship (in a cute or messy way), or a new card being created because of them and what that implies!
- Anything with them in Tomoyo's outfits!!!
- Also I remember this from a long time ago in a CLAMP interview that said these two are soulmates and will love each other no matter what they're reborn as (cough, Tsubasa, cough) so any kind of AU or reincarnation work where they remember or don't remember their past lives (or slowly grows to, one does and the other doesn't, etc) would be lovely to see.

Trigun Stampede
I've only watched Trigun Stampede, so no spoilers for the OG series please! I will probably get around to reading the manga at some point (and will try to update this letter with that fact if I do quickly enough ahaha), but who knows?
Millions Knives&/Vash the Stampede
- Okay there's a *lot* to process here in terms of their relationship at all stages so I'm just going to rant a little about what fascinates me about them.
- I like them being two halves of a whole, a joint pair, but not wholly functioning that way. The dichotomy is really striking, the colour schemes, expressions, leading/following, cynicism, eating/drinking vs not, powers vs not. Obviously they spend a long time in the series being apart, but always being mindful of the other's existence/presence and how that indirectly (but also very directly) affects their own lives. There's that unspoken dependency/co-dependency that comes with starting/stopping a new world order y'know?
- I like the guilt, responsibility, and obsession factors here a lot too, sometimes all bundled together at any point in/before/after the canon. How does that balloon even more if they were already romantically involved before the crash? How do they both view the crash and everything that came before it? At which point do they start diverging from one another's path - and does the other notice? Does Knives manipulate Vash into doing something because he still feels responsible for the tragedy? When exactly did Vash decide never to lose anyone ever again, Knives included, and is that because he feels like he's already lost his older brother? What would he do to get him back the way they were?
- On that note, the whole 'eternal paradise' thing near the end of Stampede has so much potential regarding the brainwashing/memory thing. When was the last time they were happy together? Instead of trying to replace Rem in Vash's heart, what if Knives tried to replace her with himself? What would a happy ending for them look like, and what would that mean for everyone else? Is it sweet or sickly or twisted or everything in between? When Knives thinks about 'finally getting Vash back' and unlocking him, what does that mean for their future - and what has he been imagining all these years? I like the unhealthy dynamic that this has the potential for, whether it's Knives trying to drag Vash onto his side or Vash trying to save Knives from his, and maybe they meet somewhere in the middle, maybe it ends all in a big ball of tragic fire, maybe it loops over and over again!
- Anything relating to their special status as Independents and how they view the relationship between humans and plants and metaphors to their own relationship with each other.
- In a world where Vash is forced to confront that Knives was right about humankind, how does he cope, and how does Knives bring him over to his side after all? In a world where Vash saves Knives and has the potential to remake him and reteach him about giving humanity a second chance, how does he do that?
- I'm down for any explicit works if you choose to go that route as well, ranging anywhere from dark non-con for Knives to win his war to soft exploration of each other's bodies as children. I like their emotional range and how sex would elevate the stakes involved, especially with the flavour of 'you're the only one who understands me' (because of their unique status as independents, even though they are so far apart on the scale of everything else). I will waive the DNW for the trans headcanon here that's quite popular within the fandom (and literally breeding with each other to create more plants), but no plant genitalia please!
- I'm also intrigued by a number of AUs for them of your choice spinning off any or all or none of the above themes :)
Thank you!
Lulu
